look dipshit, i'll give you $100 if you can find even one instance of me 'predicting failure'. you said you were "fully aware of how to run a tournament" and i said i was skeptical of that. i offered some constructive criticism and suggestions, but you dismissed everything i said.
now... you changing formats after the first round is enough to justify what i was talking about, but here are some other clues that indicate your incompetence:
-- saying "no time extensions" then extending the deadline three times
-- posting the seeds but not the actual judges' results from the first round
-- posting the second round matchups but not who is judging them
-- having at least one OBVIOUSLY BIASED judge in the mix
and regarding your lack of communication skills:
-- no attempt at promotion, e.g. "hey MindChamber check this out, please mention it in a post, etc"
-- all *three* of your Audio Forum threads flopped
-- your profile is the *only* place to find information on this shit
-- you keep editing this same blog post instead of having one post per round
-- and how many people will miss THIS deadline because you don't bother to maintain contact with ANYONE? you're the ORGANIZER right? well, fucking organize then! when tingtonger ran his shit he actually PM'd people, and he had like double (or more) the amount of people to contact. you don't do a goddamn thing but edit this blog post!
and yeah, i have a right to complain cuz collectively we're putting more effort into this then you are. the LEAST you could do is run shit right... as in, don't "pick up the ball" if you don't know how to play the fucking game, kid.

9 out of 14 people missed the deadline. that's practically two-thirds of the field.
out of the 5 people that DID do tracks, only 2 constituted an actual matchup.
hell... if i HAD 'predicted failure', i would've been right anyway.
Well, good for you. Want a cookie? Several of the people who didn't get in on time had knowledge of this round. They missed it.

Look Guzzi, I was being very critical toward Wyze earlier too (although most of it was from frustration which had nothing to do with this contest and thats all in the past now). But you can't just blame Wyze, blame the contestants too. They're the ones who are doing the damage. Yeah, maybe the organisation of this competition didn't flow smoothly. But the fact that less than half the people in the competition were willing to participate was what really killed it.
I think the hype died out in the first round because of all this fussing and fighting over people not submitting, changes of format, due date extensions, and all that jazz. I think that led to people being less willing to drop a diss this round. But all anybody can really do is *sigh* and move on. We just need to improve off the mistakes from this tournament and focus on making the next competition successful.
I hear what you're saying Steve, but you don't gotta come at Wyze like that. You don't need to come running in with your opinions and act like whatever you say is gospel. No need to get mad because you feel like nobody is listening to you. Just be humble, put forth your opinion, and slowly gain your respect. Thats the only way people are gonna listen to you. People like me, Wyze, Bill and Spawn have all been here for a minute, you haven't even been around this site for two seconds. Thats just the way it is, so earn your respect and relevance, then make your comments.
It's funny, because there are several people who commented on round two tracks, so I know they were aware that round 2 had begun.
